Vintry & Mercer hotel is set back on Garlick Hill, between the architectural triumphs of Sir Christopher Wren and The Shard in the warren of streets that line the Thames. The hotel connects guests to the unique story of the City’s past and the best of the modern day capital.

A 2-minute walk from London’s Cannon Street station and located in the historic Vintry Ward, the destination is inspired by the rich cultural influences of the historic area – where the Vintry Guild (est.1363) traded wines and the Mercer Guild (est. 1304) traded in fine fabrics. Vintners Place and Mercers Hall are both moments from the hotel, and guests will discover references to these historic trades, from barrel-aged cocktails to bespoke fabrics and old trading maps throughout the 92 individually decorated rooms, meeting spaces and dining destinations.

Open all day, Vintry Izakaya is a relaxed restaurant located on the ground floor. The menu incorporates the flavours of Asia into a selection of sharing plates paired with wines tapped from the large barrels that line the gantry.

Hidden away beneath the hotel is DND, a discreet, sophisticated speakeasy cocktail bar taking inspiration from the clandestine bars of 1920s New York.

With views of London’s skyline from St Paul’s to the Shard, Mercer Roof Terrace offers the best of modern British cooking, showcasing sustainably sourced meat and fish from the British Isles.
