Located in a privileged enclave between the central neighborhoods of Chamberí, Tribunal and Chueca, URSO Hotel is a historic building built in 1915 by José María Mendoza Ussía. The building integrates the stately character of the bourgeois architecture of Madrid in the 20th century, with the modernity and comfort of a modern luxury hotel.
The building, which originally was the seat of the old Biscay company Papelera Española, retains the neoclassical elegance with its towers, chamfers or the classic viewpoints that support the noble balcony. Its history is also breathed in the interior spaces, with original elements such as the central courtyard, the colorful stained glass windows, the decorative tiles, the library, the marble floors and the wooden lined walls.
