We started thinking about starting a hotel business as early as 2004. The dream was to offer a total experience in food, drink and accommodation with Klädesholmen’s soothing sea environment as a unique ingredient.
The limited surface of Klädesholmen meant that there was only one way to implement it – it had to be a floating hotel.
Everyone agreed that Sweden’s first floating hotel would make Klädesholmen a popular destination all year round and in 2008 the hotel building started. In order not to disturb the accommodation and the surroundings on the island, it was carried out at a nearby quay in Wallhamn.
