About
The four-star property is located at 2 Macclesfield Road between the Old Street Station and Angel Stations in close proximity to trendy Shoreditch and City.
The hotel themed is ‘Old London Reloaded’, it is designed by architect James Soane and will combine British icons with unconventional contemporary elements. These include a Big Ben rocket sculpture in the lobby and a wood installation around an LED fireplace. Across eight storeys the hotel will feature a restaurant, bar, gym, networking spaces and meeting rooms.
Restaurant The Bell and Whistle is a modern take on a traditional British pub, with green leather seating coiling, tables featuring cockney rhyming slang and gold bell lights reminiscent of church bells. Meanwhile a central pillar features a pixelated LED grid with moving images.
