About

Mystery Hotel Budapest is an 82-room luxury hotel located in the heart of Budapest. The eclectic palace was built by Hungarian Freemasons in the 19th century. As the life of the Freemasons was full of mystery and mystique; the theme of our hotel is shrouded with legends and secrets.

The award-winning interior designer, Zoltán Varró, fine-tuned the atmosphere with optical illusions: you can see Aladdin’s flying carpet above the front desk, there is fire by the entrance, an elevator hidden by curtains, and you have to solve the mystery of opening the hidden Pythagoras room.

You can have a business lunch, breakfast or dinner in our Great Hall Restaurant and Lounge. The hall, built in Egyptian style, is characterized by its giant chandelier, its columns, heavy curtains and for the leadership of the two iron spiral staircases leading to the Loggia. The Great Hall seats up to 88 persons, of which 64 on the ground floot and an additional 24 persons in the Loggia. 

In the summer, we offer cocktail specialties and bar food in The Sky Garden rooftop bar, while you can enjoy a spectacular view of Gellért Hill and Castle Hill.

If you wish to relax, visit our Secret Garden Day Spa, where you can choose from a variety of cosmetic and body treatments, massages and we also offer manicure as well as pedicure treatments. The Secret Garden Day Spa has a Finnish sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.

Mystery Hotel Budapest, designed by Zoltán Varró, was recognized with the ‘Best European Luxury Lobby Design‘ award at the 39th Annual Gold Key Awards for Excellence in Hospitality Design.

The hotel, as the only European, was nominated for the ‘Best Luxury Lobby Design’ and also for ‘Best Luxury Guest room Design’ awards.

The Gold Key Awards recognizes the most influential and innovative designs in the hospitality industry worldwide and commonly known as the “Oscars of the hotel and restaurant design”.
