About

The name of Abu Dhabi’s original art destination literally translates to mean a “place of enlightenment”. 

This purpose built arts and culture centre translates from Arabic as ‘a place that provides enlightenment’. The 15,400sqm facility is home to the world-renowned annual art exhibition, Abu Dhabi Art, and also features four gallery spaces.

Located on Saadiyat Island, the artistic venue houses Cultural Department Exhibitions with international collections from around the world, including three major galleries, a central events gallery, sales centre, 250-seat theatre, and restaurant. The venue hosts a wide-ranging series of exhibitions, art workshops for kids and adults, special events, art fairs, public programmes and educational initiatives. 

The main galleries of Manarat Al Saadiyat constitute of permanent spaces for a series of exhibitions and educational programmes. This is part of an ongoing cultural programme dedicated to developing awareness and understanding of art and culture prior to the launch of the Saadiyat Cultural District.
