The Hotel de Rome, a Rocco Forte hotel, a beautifully restored bank building from 1889, is located on one of the most impressive squares of Berlin, the Bebelplatz. It’s 145 bedrooms, 5 modern meeting rooms and a historical 276 sqm Ballroom offer a unique setting for exclusive meetings and events. It is situated perfectly in walking distance to the Gendarmenmarkt, Brandenburger Gate and other sightseeing sights, also offers a variety of culture, shopping and fine dining restaurants in close proximity. The Hotel is a winning combination of stylish design, exceptional levels of comfort and the highest standard of personal service. It is the only luxury hotel in Berlin located in an original building making use of its full architectural splendour and thereby offering guests and authentic Berlin. All 145 rooms and suites were designed by Tommaso Ziffer and his team who were also responsible for the Hotel de Russie in Rome. The rooms with a view either to the Bebelplatz, the Gendarmenmarkt, the Hedwig Cathedral, the Französische Strasse or the inner courtyard, are held in the three different colour shades: pigeon blue, Pompeii red and beige. Formerly the cashier’s hall of the bank, the impressive ball room still features the original mosaic floor and a double-height ceiling. It can accommodate meetings and receptions for up to 220 people. The five meeting rooms are adjacent to the Ballroom and offer The Restaurant La Banca seats 120 guests and looks onto the inner courtyard which is used for al fresco dining during summer months. For those seeking a little relaxation, the Spa de Rome offers 6 treatment rooms, a plunge pool, a sauna, a relaxation area, a fully equipped gym and a wide range of facial and body treatments, as well as massages. The original bank vault has become a 20m swimming pool.
