The Calgary Stampede is a not-for-profit community organization that preserves and celebrates our western heritage, cultures and community spirit. Supported by over 2,500 passionate volunteers, our year-round events, programs and initiatives invest in youth, support agricultural programs, celebrate western culture and make a lasting economic impact in our city.

The CS brand has been a well-known community symbol for over a century. While it stands for Calgary Stampede, it has also come to symbolize Community Spirit and the belief that We’re Greatest Together.  We are driven by the core values of western hospitality, integrity, pride of place and commitment to the community.

Stampede Park is a multi-purpose group of venues situated in the heart of the River’s District in downtown Calgary.  It is an area with entertainment in its DNA. It’s been home to The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth (The Calgary Stampede) for more than a century and home to Calgary’s beloved Calgary Flames for over 30 years. It’s also surrounded by the powerful players in arts, culture and entertainment.

The Calgary Stampede is currently expanding its primary meeting and convention space and will open in 2024. The BMO Centre on Stampede Park will boast over 500,000 square feet of flexible event space when complete. Plans include more than 330,000 square feet of exhibit space; a purpose built 50,000 square foot ballroom and more than 60,000 square feet of break out space. When finished, this exciting development will make the BMO Centre the 2^nd largest convention centre in Canada. Combined with hotel development that is currently being secured, The Calgary Stampede will be the most exciting convention district in North America.
