About
Amanbagh is a verdant oasis of mature palm, fruit and eucalyptus trees lying within a walled compound once the staging area for royal hunts. Evoking the palatial grandeur of the Moghul era, Amanbagh’s 24 Haveli Suites and 16 Pool Pavilions are situated in the gardens around the main swimming pool (left), providing a tranquil refuge from which to access the rich heritage of Rajasthan’s dramatic frontier region. Just 15 kilometres from the resort, the 17th-century Bhangarh (below and right) is a national heritage site that comprises an entire city of bazaars, palaces, gardens, temples and bathing pools deserted overnight due to a curse.
