The “Arch” was already built in the 12th century and belonged in the 18th century to the Gumpelzhaimern, a Regensburg patrician family. For over twenty years, the Arch has housed the “Altstadthotel Arch”, a 63-room hotel.
During the conversion, particular attention has been paid to the preservation of the character of the house. To document the individuality of the hotel and the closeness to the city, each room was named after a street name of Regensburg’s Old Town. The name explanations to hang with picture in each room.
