The 5-star Superior Schlosshotel in Essen is an elegant retreat with 36 individually furnished rooms and suites, a villa, two restaurants – one awarded with a Michelin star – a bar and 8 function rooms. The huge castle park with tennis court as well as nearby golf courses offer relaxation. As a member of “Fine Private Hotels” and “QL Hotels & Restaurants”, the moated castle is one of the best. The Schlosshotel Hugenpoet is located in the south of Essen, an ideal location to the cities of Essen and Düsseldorf (20 minutes by car). The area is also worth seeing with the Zeche Zollverein, the Villa Hügel of the Krupp family or the Museum Folkwang. The moated castle offers a lot of enjoyment with two restaurants and a bar. The gourmet restaurant LAURUSHAUS is open on 3 days. The HUGENpöttchen restaurant is open daily from noon to dinner. In summer you can sit and enjoy both on the terrace and in the castle park. The 36 rooms and suites – located in the castle, in the coach house and in the gatehouse – show selected antiques and design pieces. Parking, Wi-Fi and minibar-soft drinks are included in the room rate. In the outer bailey is the Villa Türmchen, about 100 m², with its own fireplace, terrace and a living and sleeping area, ideal for longer stays as well as for groups and smaller meetings.
