Royal Museums Greenwich comprises Cutty Sark, the National Maritime Museum, the Queen’s House, Royal Observatory Greenwich and the Peter Harrison Planetarium. With unique spaces available to hire across every site, we offer five world-class venues featuring exceptional settings for corporate events, private functions, weddings, and filming.
This historic collection of museum and gallery spaces showcases pioneering architecture, British art and history, and scientific discovery and exploration – all with a local park-side setting. We are as well suited to host a small civil ceremony, as we are a global summit gala and eveything in between!
Cutty Sark
Built in 1869 to carry tea back from China, this monument to the glory days of sail, travelled the world and survived the high seas. The ship boasts a spectacular riverside setting , with a sweeping outlook across the Thames to the City beyond.
A unique space for award ceremonies, gala dinners and client networking accomodating up to 250 for dinner/dance and 400 for receptions.
Queen’s House
Sitting in the centre of the grounds at Royal Museums Greenwich, this exquisite former royal palace was built as a ‘House of Delight’ with such enduring style guests still marvel at its elegant design.
The Great Hall’s commanding views over the River Thames, original black and white marble flooring, and iconic Tulip Stairs provide a spectacular setting for events up to 120 guests. The Orangery and South Parlours open up onto Greenwich Park and are an ideal setting for small meetings and reception drinks. After dinner guests can enjoy telescope viewings along the Colonnade or retreat to the Undercroft for dancing and drinks.
The Royal Observatory
The Royal Observatory Greenwich is one of the most important scientific sites in the world. It is the home of British astronomy, Greenwich Meantime and the Prime Meridian of the world. Founded in 1675 by Charles II and designed by Sir Christopher Wren, this museum offers a wealth of intimate and experiential event spaces for elegant and unique events for up to 60 seated or 120 standing.
The Peter Harrison Planetarium
Located within Greenwich Park, the Peter Harrison Planetarium at Royal Museums Greenwich provides a versatile setting for out of this world experiences. It is a modern, versatile venue and London’s only Planetarium.
An astronomer-led planetarium show is included with every hire. See the night sky from anywhere in the world, a time in history or enjoy it in the here and now. The state-of-the-art projector can be used for client content too. The futuristic building, and the theme of astronomic exploration makes this a perfect place for product launches and team building activities for up to 80 seated and 130 standing.
